Day 4: Afina 3950 at the Lake of the Ozarks

Rain or Shine the Afina is a Comfortable Dry Boating Experience.  

Our first stop for the day was at Tap and Grill Lakeside Brew Haus.  It rained the majority of the time we were there.  We enjoyed fruity drinks and lunch.  Side note... In Minnesota we use shredded cheddar cheese.  In Missouri we noticed you guys sure do like your "cheese sauce".  The bearded bartender was fun and provided friendly banter.

Next, we boated, in the pouring rain, to Jolly Rogers Grub n Grog.  This place's authentic pirate theme restaurant provided great entertainment and conversation.  


 Then, we boated, again in the pouring rain, to T's Fish Tales.  This down-home establishment made us feel like we were back in Minnesota. We played bean bags and Jenga.  We were surprised how much we enjoyed the, recommended, deep fried craw fish.  We exchanged recipes and tried several different "mini drinks".  The dock boys get an A+!

We met the many locals, received a warm welcome, and got a great feel of the lake today.  Despite the pouring rain for majority of the day,  we had a great time.

Day 3: Afina 3950 at the Lake of the Ozarks

Another beautiful day on the Lake.  We found a quiet cove to anchor the Afina and spent the day having some family fun.  

There's nothing quite like the new Afina, and there’s no better way to enjoy the fullest boating experience.

Gorgous morning at Bridal Cave.  We toured the cave and were amazed by the beauty!

The Legend of Bridal Cave

Centuries before the paleface found his way into the Ozark Mountains, this vicinity was inhabited by the Osage Native Americans. Within the Osage tribe many smaller tribes were formed. The following incident is a legend which brought romance and tragedy to this section of the Ozarks and gave the names to many places as they are known today.

Then we where off to Camden on the Lake.  The Camden is a wonderful place to stay.  Good food, clean rooms, beautiful accommodations and fun entertainment

Seventeen of us traveled to the Lake of the Ozarks the first week of August.  We wanted to visit the local dealers and see the beautiful sites. We started at Buccaneer Bay Resort, mile marker 34 1/2.  

The weather was humid 88 degrees and sunny.  A hot welcome to Missouri.
